hello folks

so just as a heads up to any peeps who follow me who just so happen to be under the age of 18, i HIGHLY recommend unfollowing because i'mma start doing suggestive artwork on this website only

main reason being due to newgrounds' boss af content rating system making it easy to filter out any content that will make your mama faint

now it ain't gonna be full blown ball busting ass slappin sex, it's just gonna be suggestive stuff like pin ups of rouge from sonic the hedgehog in a bikini or somethin, but still, dat stuff is a no no for the children

so if you're followin me but you're a child i recommend dipping from this account and following my twitter, instagram, or tumblr. my stuff there is squeaky clean and fit for the whole family!

ciao

tonight's been one of those reflective nights for me

as of writing, it's pitch black in my room aside for my computer monitors, and i'm listening to a playlist of nostalgic wii music. wii music had such a clean fuckin vibe to it looking back, but i digress

in a couple days i'm going to be graduating from high school, and i have a lot of mixed emotions within me. i feel excited, sad, scared, a lot of things. and it's just one of those times where i feel uncertain about pretty much everything. i feel a big need to start doing adult shit as soon as i'm out, so much so that my parents have to keep reminding me to slow down. but it's kind of hard not to want to get to work right away y'know? expectations fucking suck man. i feel like i got to prove that i can be capable when no one's really putting that pressure on me, everyone is just generally accepting that i need to take my time and i'll do my best

but still, i can't help but be afraid. i picked up my cap and gown 3 days ago, and i feel strange every time i look at it. it almost doesn't feel real. i remember 6th grade like it was yesterday, and now here i am years later, all the way to graduation. life feels slow yet fast all the time.

back when i was a kid, there was this aesthetic that i'm pretty sure we all know about, and it's one i'm so damn glad i learned the name of:

frutiger aero

i really miss this aesthetic man. when i think of the 2000s this is exactly what i think of.

minimalism is so damn boring and you cannot change my mind. frutiger aero has a strange hopeful feeling to it??? it's pretty much supposed to represent a clean utopia where technology and nature are in harmony, hence a lot of the water themes. i think that's why the aesthetic resonated with me so much back then, it felt so hopeful

idk it's just things like that i remember in weird retrospective moments like this

but ye that's the end of dis blog, bye bye

for al of my art career i've strictly struck to being a 2D artist, y'know. drawing outlines and coloring in flat two dimensional images. but as of late i've been dipping my toes into 3D stuffs, like 3D modeling and animation.

at first i was dicking around with SFM, but holy shit that software is trash. at least in terms of performance. you can't do a single thing in that program without it having a digital asthma attack. a dementia ridden old guy with scoliosis would probably run a marathon better than SFM. but i digress.

now i've been messing around with Blender. i've touched and poked Blender for years, mostly back when i was trying to make shitty FNAF fangames at age 10 or 11. but i never really took the time to completely learn it, however now i've gotten a solid grasp on Blender, mostly with the help of my friend Nasir.

i've gotten to a level where i can model and rig a low-poly N64 type model (no deformities), and i can even somewhat animate, albeit in a more stop motion frame by frame style since that's what i'm comfortable with. but point is - i'm learning Blender and i'm learning it fast. in fact - i've even made some small animations with some simple Minecraft character rigs Nasir gave me, since he used to be a decently known Minecraft animator years back.

look out Pixar..... i'm gonna surpass you

Today's officially Friday Night Funkin's 2 year anniversary, and god it feels weird.

It feels weird knowing that so much has happened already, both with the game itself and the community. It really feels like yesterday I was trying to make shitty reskins in Medibang before I got Flash. I discovered FNF briefly before Week 6 came out, I believe I saw fanart of it while scrolling through Instagram and my interest got peaked.

So I ended up playing the Week 6 update, and I've been a fan of the game ever since. I just wanna thank the Funkin' Crew for really giving me the kick to improve my art, animation, and music skills, cause ever since I feel my art has gotten cleaner and my music has gotten better to listen to. I still gotta work on my animation, but we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

I discovered FNF when I was 17, depressed in the 10th grade, taking my online classes during COVID. Now I'm 18, still depressed, and in the 12th grade. Now I have several mods under my belt, both of my own creation and ones I had simply worked for. As many gripes as I have with the community, I still love the base game despite it all.

Happy two years, Funkin' Crew. Thanks for everything.
